CaDLab aims to produce cutting-edge research on the conflict–development nexus. Our current members are Baran Han (Economics), Inbok Rhee (Political Science), Chrysostomos Tabakis (Economics), Eunjin Ryu (Economics), and Inhye Lee (Research Assistant). Collaborative research efforts are currently focused on the following two projects.
1) Study on the Rally Effect of North Korean Economic Sanctions: An Exploratory Focus Group Interview and Analysis
This project explores the impact of North Korean economic sanctions on the public's support for the regime.
2) Fear and Favoritism in the Time of COVID-19
A survey experiment was conducted on a sample of 4,000 individual respondents in South Korea in order to better understand the mechanisms underlying the impact of disasters on in-group versus out-group bias.
